"We could not have asked for better help or nice people"
9 months ago"My visit was exceptional! Vet was able to do her exam on my high anxiety kitty and took care of her very well. She even got a gift basket at the end with treats and a toy. The vet explained everything very well with a great amount of knowledge. I felt like my kitty was very taken care of."
in the last week"Working in the pet care industry I have seen a few emergency situations with my clients pups. I have been here twice and I prefer it over CTVSEH. Everyone is kind, informative, and genuinely cares about the animals they care for. Emergency services are expensive but with the open concept they have, I find it worth it! Thanks!"
in the last week"Our sweet cat got blocked this weekend and by the time we reached the hospital, he was in critical condition. The staff was so great and immediately took care of him. They were compassionate about his situation and explained everything to us so we could really understand what was happening. We knew an emergency vet hospital trip wasn't going to be cheap but they were able to offer services that fit into our max budget (so it was still expensive for us) but they LITERALLY saved his life. He's only been home one day but he's already back to normal - jumping and playing. Thank you thank you thank you! I pray we never have another pet emergency, but if we do, I know where we will be going."
3 weeks ago"I cannot say enough wonderful things about AVES. We found ourselves in the unfortunate situation of needing to take one of our pups to the emergency vet, and chose AVES as it was recommended by our primary vet. We walked in around 8:30pm to a calm environment, and professional and kind front desk, and we were very quickly taken back into a room. The nurses and dr could not have been more caring and empathetic. We received great news the following morning and were able to pick our big guy up, being met once again by an incredibly kind day time staff. They texted to check up on our pup and make sure he was doing well. If we find ourselves in another emergency situation, AVES is the only place we’ll be going! *Bonus points for the Bridgerton soundtrack playing*"
in the last week"I just got home from this location and I could not be more grateful for the incredible staff, front desk and doctors alike. My apartment complex' stray has always had some health issues but the last few days had me realizing it was getting towards the end of the road for my distant friend. Tonight his eyes had gotten to the point of being completely covered in whatever infection he was failing to fight off, and he, who was usually a very skittish cat threw himself into my hands, as if he really needed help. Some really difficult decisions had to be made for him but everyone made it so much easier, explained what could be done for him (realistically and unrealistically,) and gave me all the space I needed to make final decisions. It just feels really nice to have people who really care in scenarios like this, so thank you so much to the staff of Central Texas Vet, you made a very difficult night a bit more palatable and that was more than I could have hoped for!"
in the last week"Great service! Explained everything very clearly and were great with my pup"
in the last weekBest for routine checkups, vaccinations, dental cleanings, and non-emergency care. Most require appointments.
"Dr. Meynier is a diamond among gems. Helped me with a sick puppy and responded before and after business hours to my stressful texts. Couldn’t recommend this place more."
a week ago"HUGE props to CityVet Central Austin! They were incredibly sweet and handled our cat with lots of care. Their whole team (front desk, tech, and veterinarians) were so thoughtful and gentle with our cat, and the prices we paid for our annual eval and bloodwork were super affordable. We look forward to using these guys for a long time. 😎"
a week ago"Dr. P and all the whole staff are AWESOME !!!!! Definitely the best in Austin."
a week ago"We went to Dr. Spellman as a second opinion after not feeling great with service at another vet. He was extremely thorough, kind, and you could tell her truly cared about the wellbeing of our dog. We will be returning to Dr. Spellman for future vet care!"
in the last week"This is a wonderful vet with a huge commitment to making sure their care is fear free. My extremely excitable black lab puppy had a good, calm experience. Karley and Kimberly were especially great, doing their blood draw so smoothly that my puppy didn't even notice it was happening."
in the last week"Very comfortable and informative"
in the last week"Entire staff were very friendly & compassionate to our geriatric dog. The Vet explained everything we needed to hear. Glad we went there!"
in the last week"We've entrusted them for years with our sweet dog, Mason. They have always been there to answer questions, get us into appointments quickly, and comfort our emotions during times of distress; always giving us guidance and hope. I can't recommend them enough : )"
in the last week"Everyone who works here is always so friendly, and the care they show for my cat is fantastic. I trust this staff completely."
in the last week"Best vet ever. They literally saved my dog’s life. Kind, caring, and compassionate, they are good at their job and wonderful to the customers."
a month ago"Everyone from the moment I walked in was very very nice. The Dr. was able to diagnose my dogs issues completely. The other vets who saw my dog in the last 6 months never diagnosed 2 problems like this vet did. I wholeheartedly believe this is the best vet in town. Unfortunately the injection was costly."
a week ago"I was provided the best tour by an amazing staff member who had grace and patience with every question and concern I could come up with regarding my kitten's future boarding stay(s). I am considering a couple trips this year and just wanted to educate myself on my local options. I love that the cats have their own rooms with vents & sprinklers. I love how attentive to detail the team comes across as this is a big deal for anxious owners such as myself. "
in the last week"I had a great experience at this urgent care for pets. The entire team is kind, attentive, and truly cares about the animals they treat. The technicians—Mariana, Chris, Gabby, and Manager Alyssa were all incredibly helpful and gentle, making sure my dog felt comfortable and safe. Doctor Spencer is very knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything clearly, which gave me a lot of confidence in the care my pet was receiving. Tara at the front desk was also wonderful—friendly, organized, and welcoming from the moment we walked in. You can tell this team genuinely loves what they do. I’m very grateful for their compassion and professionalism."
in the last week"This place is amazing!! The best techs & doctors! Is there another vet open on weekends who is clean and easy to work with?! Nope! They are simply amazing with the fur babies. 10 out of 10!"
a week ago"Dr. Sanchez was great, very professional, and helpful during my dog’s annual wellness visit. Took the time to answer all my questions and made the whole experience smooth. Highly recommend."
in the last week"Entire staff were very friendly & professional. The facility was really nice. My Yorkie is in excellent hands at Firehouse."
in the last week"I was introduced to CityVet South thru Austin Bulldog Rescue. After taking several rescues for checkups and treatments at CityVet, I started taking my own pets there. Dr. VanDyke and the entire staff have been great. Highly recommend."
in the last week"Easy to schedule an appointment, friendly staff, excellent vet. I am very happy to have found this clinic to help sort out my cat's international traveling documents."
in the last week"I’m honestly shocked that I haven’t left a review for ATX Animal Clinic and Dr. Rob yet because they have been such an important part of my dogs’ lives. I’ve been coming here since before it became ATX Animal Clinic, back when Dr. Rob had just taken over as the new owner. From day one, he has been professional, knowledgeable, and very upfront. What I appreciate most is that he truly cares about animals and gives honest recommendations without ever pushing unnecessary services. He will not tell you that your pet needs something if they don’t. One experience that really stands out was when my dog Hera got into something she shouldn’t have. She was bleeding and vomiting, and I was terrified. Dr. Rob gave me two options: surgery, or trying a slower, natural approach while being completely transparent that it wasn’t guaranteed. At the time, I wasn’t financially stable enough for surgery, so I chose the conservative route. They kept Hera for over a day or two, giving her fluids, probiotics, fiber, and supportive care to help her pass everything naturally. I even believe the staff took her on short walks or light runs to help her system move things along. Thankfully, it worked and we were able to avoid surgery. I will always be grateful for that. The biggest reason I recommend Dr. Rob to everyone and why I’m willing to drive 35 minutes from my home for my pets care was my experience saying goodbye to my 15-year-old dog, Cookie. I initially brought her in thinking she was just dehydrated after she had snuck out and been outside for hours, but after observing her condition, he recognized there was something more serious going on. After watching her movement, eyes, and behavior, he explained that something neurological was likely affecting her. I asked if I should see a specialist, and he told me the decision was mine but that, in his professional opinion, it likely wouldn’t be worth putting her through more tests or treatment given what he was seeing. When she began seizing, he immediately gave her medication to control it so we could continue to be with her and say our goodbyes when we were ready. My appointment was probably around 10:30 a.m., and I didn’t leave until around 3:30 /4 p.m. Not once did he or his staff rush me. They gave me all the time I needed, allowing us to wait for a family member who was flying in to say goodbye, since she was our family dog. That level of patience and compassion meant everything to me. He also walked me through options for her remains with incredible compassion and care, and went above and beyond in a way I will never forget. A few weeks later, I was able to bring her home. Now, he continues to care for my two girls, Hera and Toffee, and I trust him completely. If you’re looking for a veterinarian who is honest, compassionate, and truly dedicated to your pet’s well-being, I cannot recommend ATX Animal Clinic enough."
2 weeks ago"Caring staff and expert medical team"
in the last week"Amazing local vet for my little dogs, Jelly & coco. Soon will be bringing my new puppy I just adopted from a shelter here as well."
2 weeks ago"I’ve been going to Brodie since I moved to Austin 15 years ago and they have taken excellent care of all of my dogs. Dr. Burke and Dr. Holmes along with the extraordinary vet tech staff and the front desk remember my animals every visit and make me feel like family. I have gone through my share of pet emergencies and I always leave with a healthy pet and reassured as their owner. Even though we live in north Austin, we make the drive to Brodie because we trust the staff. Thank you for all that you’ve done and continue to do for my schnauzers over the years!"
a week ago"They are always so amazing! They go out of their way to make sure that my dog feels comfortable and will look forward to coming back. I cannot say better things about this practice!"
in the last week"Thank you for taking such great care of Bubba. Yall are awesome!! J F"

2 months ago"We recently switched our dogs' care over to Firehouse Westlake. I highly recommend Dr. Bonnet. She has been great with my senior dogs and very understanding of their problems and our concerns and preferences. She is very smart and kind and makes you (and our dogs) feel at ease!"
in the last week"Easy access, very welcoming front office and receptionist. The Vet tech was very knowledgeable and pleasant and very gentle with the cats. Dr Tran was excellent, very knowledgeable."
in the last week"Closed on weekends, closed on Monday, I mean when are you open? No sign at the doors, nothing. And it was unlocked, so I was waiting for 10-15 minutes. So finally someone from the store saw me and told me that they are not working today."
in the last week"Great team. Love bringing our pets here."
in the last week"Staff is always friendly and helpful."
4 months ago"Everyone at the clinic is always very friendly, kind and welcoming to Rufus and me, and I always feel confident that he is receiving the best care. The clinic staff and vets are always happy to answer my questions and put my mind at rest when I am worried about my boy. Thank you so much for caring for him!"
in the last week"Absolutely love coming to Modern Animal. We’ve utilized many of their clinics in Austin and LA over the years with great success. We have an extremely dog-reactive pitbull, which obviously requires an intentional amount of extra caution when moving through public spaces. Every Modern Animal team seems to be well-versed in supporting “special” dogs like ours, and curating a smooth experience for both human and pup. They’ve got a secret back entrance in the parking garage, and they’re always able to get our dog into a private room quickly, making sure other dogs are out of sight for our psycho princesses grand entrance. 😆 The Modern Animal app is a great place to keep track of your dog’s medical history, create last minute appointments, order rX for pickup or delivery, instantly show an emergency vet your dog’s medical record on the spot, etc. every vet should have an app! Wanted to give a huge shoutout to the tech Jamie, who gave us a thorough demonstration about how to administer our dog’s newest medication. Our dog loved Jamie and made her feel super comfy and relaxed. They’ve got the magic touch! 11 stars for Modern Animal S Lamar ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"
a week ago"I cannot recommend this place enough. We brought our sweet girl in for any pet parents worst day. Everyone and I mean everyone was so understanding and kind to my wife and I as we said our final good byes. The vet and vet tech were extremely kind to our cat as they do tests for us. When we returned at a later date to collect her ashes (a service they offer with a company called Pet Meadows, who are also amazing) the receptionist was warm and kind to us again. We went this morning to collect our final item from Pet Meadows and were treated with kindness even though two months had passed since we were there. I’m sure the other services they offer are wonderful as well. Thank you to everyone on staff for being kind and warm to us and especially our Boo girl."
in the last week"The staff is always knowledgeable and kind. I feel confident that my pets are in fantastic hands!"
a week ago"It was a great experience. Very informative."
in the last week"I had a wonderful experience. I will definitely be back! The entire staff is so warm and welcoming, and the veterinarians are so thorough!"
4 months ago"Vets like Dr. Martin and veterinary clinics like Manchaca give me hope in this world. I know that’s dramatic but it really did. Our 3 year old dog was suddenly diagnosed with end-stage cancer. The emergency and primary vet advised us to put Jax down. We went to manchaca for another opinion. Dr. Martin understood the situation and did everything in her power to patiently answer our questions and help Jax be as comfortable as possible during this time. She was an amazing vet who even prescribed a critical appetite stimulant that has helped him tremendously (missed by two previous vets). She listened to each of my concerns and questions thoroughly and helped us think through every possibility. But what I will never forget is that she brought a humanity to the situation that made this unbearable time.. far more bearable. There is a kindness and genuineness to her that is honestly rare with vets. It’s not even their fault- they see so many clients and so many vets are run like impersonable companies. AI may help medical practice overall but there is no AI that could’ve provide the type of care Dr. Martin provided during that time. Thank you so much, Dr. Martin for being there for Jax and our family!"
in the last week"Great professional care for my dog! Fast and efficient! Great staff! Not too expensive either!"
in the last week"First benefit, they are the closest to my house. Front desk is great in person and on the phone. Vets don't look for things to charge more for. Came from VCA which has it's benefits. NAVC has all those benefits with a homier feel and lower cost."
a week ago"The vet, tech and doctor were both very approachable and kind to us and more importantly, our sweet dog!"
in the last week"WLVC is a group of smart, caring people who love what they do and it shows. My golden bounds out of the car to go inside to be with them!"
in the last week"I've been taking my cat to SACH since he was 5 or so, he's now 12 and I credit the wonderful vets and vet techs here for helping me keep him stable and healthy now that he's a senior boy. They've helped manage his early stage kidney disease and diagnosed IBD later on. Dr. Breitreiter is his primary vet but he's seen Dr. Thomas and Dr. McDaniel too and they've all been amazing, patient, and knowledgable. Honestly you can't go wrong with any of them. They run a very tight ship at this practice, will check-in with you after each visit, and they approve prescription refills very quickly so I never have to follow up. Appointments are never rushed. I was also impressed that the vets brief each other; so when my cat's ultrasound was done by a vet he hadn't seen before, she conferred with his usual vet to discuss his medical history before doing his procedure. The office is a calming place and they clearly put a lot of love and care into making it less of an ordeal for nervous cats. They also let your cat set the pace for the appointment and never resort to force. Yes, they're pricier than other practices but they're transparent about costs before moving forward with anything. It's been well worth it to me as they are so thorough and keep up their knowledge of new developments in veterinary medicine. There’s no better vet to take your kitty to in Austin - and probably all of Texas."
a week ago"Dr. Carmona is great! I really appreciate how he gives a thorough explanation of things."
2 weeks ago"Extremely friendly and affordable care. The front office is great at communicating and prioritizing . vmVeterinarians and techs really show they care for their patients and are very professional. I’ve been taking both my dogs here for 2 years now . Our Ruby girl was spayed here and had the best recovery !"

3 weeks ago"Great veterinarians! Everyone makes you feel welcome!"
in the last week"Recently made the switch to Dr. Greg bc he was highly recommended by friends. Well, he quickly exceeded my expectations. Friendly, funny, knowledgeable, nurturing… all the qualities you’d want in a veterinarian. His technician, Gracie, was very patient with our pug and made her very comfortable from the beginning. Reasonable office visit fees :)"
in the last week"This vet is excellent! They even send follow-up texts to check on how your pet is doing after visits. FIVE STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"
in the last week"Great care for my animals! My cat had undiagnosed diabetes. Now he is on medication and feeling much better and has the. prospect of a long and healthy life."
in the last week"I'm an unreasonably anxious person with an unreasonably anxious dog who had a difficult recovery from her surgery - and this team took CARE of us like you would not believe. They genuinely actually CARE. We took up so much more of their time than is routine because of a little post-op infection and they did everything in their power to keep costs manageable and keep me reassured that everything was going to turn out fine. And it totally did! My baby girl is better than ever and so happy! Dr. Shuman and Dr. Kmietsch were both incredible and Dr. Shuman's team are all just the most caring, incredibly kind humans you'll ever meet. Lindsey is the absolute best customer care person I've ever encountered at any business in my entire life. No exaggeration. Your babies are in great hands with these folks. They are patient, thorough, and clearly adore animals."
in the last week"I am very lucky to have these wonderful, caring folks so close to my house I have an elder cat and as we all know cats don’t like to travel… But they always treat him so well and trust is a huge part of it for me and I just wanna tell all of them thank you so much for my pet Oliver"
in the last week"Best Vet is our family vet. We are currently fostering a wonderful dog and Dr. Bob and Sam gave the same amazing care of her as they do of their regular patients. I really appreciate that. And now that Barbie is officially a “foster fail”, she joins her beagle brothers as full time patients at Best Vet. The wonderful staff takes great care of our trio, and the fair pricing allows us to keep our dogs happy & healthy. Thank you!"
3 weeks ago"I am immensely grateful for Paz South. They make a stressful experience as easy as possible. On several occasions I've been able to get my cat in to see a doctor on the same day, with no emergency surcharge. I love them."
a week ago"Dr. Hardesty is a fantastic vet. The place is no-frills, but that’s what allows them to offer such reasonable prices compared to places in the suburbs while still maintaining an excellent standard of care"
2 weeks ago"Our dog, Bella, loves the staff!"
2 weeks ago"Other vets wanted $450 - $800 for a dog neuter. Emancipet is a non profit, and specializes in just a few services to keep costs low. Cost was only $139, and very professional. Thank you."
in the last week"Comfortable waiting room and very nice e staff. Testing was fast."
2 months ago"I love Dr. Lake, she is a super sweet woman and I appreciate she lets me speak my concerns fully. I have a lot of anxiety regarding my cat, so her patience means everything!! And thank you staff!"
2 months ago"I cannot thank them enough for giving my dog such a great experience. On top of the convenience of being able to have them to come to the house, they are truly experts. I have a Belgian Malinois that didnt have the best prior experience at the vet, but the team at 6 whiskers was so patient, and calm with her."
3 months ago"Excellent place and very cheap"
in the last week"Nice vet techs, got my little Pony up and running. Easy to book appointment, knowledgeable and non judgemental staff."
in the last week"I have been taking both of my dogs to ZippiVet for a couple years and I’ve had nothing but great experiences. My dogs get remembered, the vets hear my concerns and don’t make me feel dumb, and I have nothing but lovely things to say about everyone I’ve come in contact with. I definitely recommend taking your fur babies here!"
2 weeks ago"I rushed my french bulldog here when I came home to her having a massive seizure. I called the nearest vet and they told me they were about to close and to not come. I was headed to a 24/7 urgent care vet and saw this place on the way. They let me in, and stayed over 2 hours past closing. Unfortunately my baby didn’t make it, but I would like to thank the staff and vet that stayed there with us. I will be sending flowers and a thank you card. It was the worst day and I’m so thankful for everyone working overtime. It meant so much."
a week ago"Needed to find a new vet and am so glad we found Parker! Will definitely make them our permanent vet!!"
in the last week"l had an issue with medication for my dog with Addisons disease, they took care of it, my other two dogs have had medical issues, one with his teeth and the other with her gall bladder, they have given excellent care to all three, the entire staff is knowledgeable, competent, kind and caring, l highly recommend Austin Vet Care at Metric, Aplus."
in the last week"This place is full of wonderful people. They treat you with great courtesy and always try to give you the best service. Once they referred me to another place, but I keep coming back because they always help me with such a positive attitude. A huge thank you to the ladies at the front desk because I've needed their help and they've always provided it. Thank you, Dr. MacArthur, for always helping me with my little elderly Chihuahua who has a heart condition. I definitely recommend it. It's not cheap, but it's worth it for the way everyone there treats you."
2 months ago"We have been using capital veterinary for over 20 years and couldn't ask for better. From regular checkups to more serious issues they always make us feel like our animals are getting the best care. I can relax when on vacation knowing the dogs are being boarded somewhere safe and compassionate."
in the last week"Dr. Bloomer is the best! She was kind, knowledgeable, caring, and took her time explaining our treatment options and next steps. Plus our schnauzer approved! We are hoping our treatment plan helps our dog get through this and feeling better. Thank you Dr. Bloomer."

in the last week"Wonderful loving staff, and Dr. Muchnik is the best!!"
in the last week"Dr. Skellinger and Dr. we're fantastic on taking time to explain symptoms, treatment plan, and any questions I had concerning treatment plan for my rabbit. The staff were friendly and caring. The Dr. and staff were wonderful on following up on my rabbits. I strongly recommend any owner who owns an exotic pet to consider coming to this hospital"
a week ago"Just moved here from the east coast and dog was having issues. Dr. Iyengar and assistant are wonderful. They clearly explained what was going on with my dog and gave me treatment options. I like how BeeVet animal hospital are very transparent in the cost for service. Happy I picked this animal Hospital:)"
a week ago"Very disappointing experience. I called ahead to let them know I might be about 10 minutes late, and when I called back the front desk told me I could still come in at 4:00 pm. I actually arrived about 10 minutes before my appointment, but the doctor came out shortly after and said he couldn’t see me because I was late. After explaining that I had arrived early and was told to come in, he reluctantly saw my dog, but the entire visit felt extremely rushed. The doctor didn’t want to give me an estimate for my dog’s surgery until I insisted, and he kept rushing me to decide about starting antibiotics and other procedures without giving me time to think or make calls. The vet techs and staff were very kind, but my experience with the doctor was very unpleasant. Even if their prices are affordable, I would not recommend this office and will not be returning."
a month ago"I prefer south Lamar instead of east 7th st east 7th st they don’t answer phones anymore they’re picky now on what days can be picked for appointments the south Lamar location was direct and firm I like that they were very detailed with my little girl fur baby. Even though south Lamar is a bit of a travel for me I rather go to south Lamar instead they communicate better even through text and I now have my babys new food she can eat now she is happy and having a lazy day today lol"
2 weeks ago"We’ve been coming here for three years now and we love it. Always a great experience. Thank you Thrive Manchaca for taking good care of us!"
in the last week"Dr. Savita Wadhwani, DVM, at Pet and Bird Clinic is someone I have truly come to respect over the years. Like any pet owner who is deeply invested in their animal’s well-being, I’ve asked questions along the way, about decisions, treatment options, and outcomes, but those moments always came from a place of wanting to fully understand and advocate for my dog, not from doubt in her care. Dr. Wadhwani has been caring for my dog, Bubba, for 11 years, and her consistency, attentiveness, and clinical judgment have never failed us. Every recommendation she has made has meaningfully improved his condition, including guiding us through a minor surgery with confidence and care. What stands out most is her professionalism and the way she takes the time to truly understand both the pet and the owner. There is a level of trust that comes from that kind of relationship, one that you cannot replicate by simply searching for alternatives. Having a provider who knows your pet over time and approaches their care with intention is invaluable. I genuinely respect her as a veterinarian and trust her with the animals I care about most. That consistency and level of care have made all the difference."
3 weeks ago"Sad to see this place go, but Dr Cotnam and the team are a cut above the rest. Thank you for everything over the last few years, the dogs and I are very grateful!"
2 years ago"Dr. Laura Vasquez, head of neurology, took in Gypsy trying to find what neurological issue she had. After X-rays, MRI , CT scan, she found nothing. Rather than giving up, Dr. Laura stayed until after 7 at night doing different tests that were out of her scope, on Gypsy, determined to find the diagnosis. She finally found a rare condition that is fatal if not treated. Thank you Dr. Laura for saving my dog’s life. Thank you Central Texas Vet Specialty for treating us so well at a time of desperation."
