    Terms of Service

    Effective Date: April 17, 2026

Please read these Terms carefully. They explain the rules for using PetHelpAnswers.com and the limits of our responsibility.

    Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to PetHelpAnswers (“PetHelpAnswers,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a legal agreement between you and PetHelpAnswers and govern your access to and use of pethelpanswers.com (the “Site”).

By visiting, browsing, or otherwise using the Site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Site. If you are between 13 and 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed these Terms with you.

    Use of Website

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access the Site for your personal, non-commercial use.

    You agree NOT to:

    • Use the Site for any unlawful or harmful purpose
    • Scrape, copy, mirror, or republish substantial portions of our content without written permission
    • Attempt to disrupt, hack, reverse-engineer, or probe the Site for vulnerabilities
    • Submit spam, malware, malicious code, or false or misleading information through any form
    • Impersonate another person, organization, or veterinarian
    • Use automated tools (bots, crawlers, scrapers) in a way that places unreasonable load on our infrastructure
    • Use the Site or its content to train AI or machine-learning models without our written consent

    Intellectual Property Rights

All content on the Site — including articles, guides, tools, calculators, images, illustrations, logos, design, code, and the “PetHelpAnswers” brand — is owned by PetHelpAnswers or our licensors and is protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

    You may:

    • Share short excerpts (a paragraph or two) with proper attribution and a link back to the source page
    • Print or save individual pages for your personal reference

You may not, without our prior written permission:

    • Republish full articles or guides on another website or platform
    • Sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit our content
    • Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or attribution notices

For licensing or syndication requests, please use our contact form.

    User Responsibilities

When using the Site, you agree that:

    • The information you provide (through contact forms, newsletter signup, or any future account) is accurate and your own
    • You will use any tools, calculators, or AI-generated answers as general guidance only — not as a substitute for professional veterinary care
    • You are solely responsible for decisions you make about your pet’s health, diet, training, or care based on information from the Site
    • You will consult a licensed veterinarian for diagnosis, treatment, medication, or any urgent or serious health concern
    • You will not rely on the Site in an emergency — instead, contact your veterinarian or an emergency animal hospital immediately

    Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and all content, tools, and services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including:

    • Accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of information
    • Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
    • Non-infringement
    • That the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
    • That any content, recommendation, or AI-generated response is appropriate for your specific pet

Content on PetHelpAnswers is for informational and educational purposes only. It is not veterinary advice and is not a substitute for professional diagnosis, treatment, or care. Pet care is highly individual — what works for one animal may not work for yours. Always consult a licensed veterinarian. See our full Disclaimer.

    Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PetHelpAnswers, its owners, employees, contributors, contractors, and partners shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or related to:

    • Your access to, use of, or inability to use the Site
    • Any reliance on content, tools, calculators, AI responses, or recommendations published on the Site
    • Any harm, illness, injury, loss, or death suffered by your pet
    • Any decision you make regarding diet, medication, or treatment
    • Any veterinary clinic listed in our directory or linked from the Site
    • Any third-party product, service, or website linked from the Site, including affiliate partners
    • Errors, omissions, viruses, or interruptions to the Site

This applies whether the claim is based on contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or any other legal theory, and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

If, despite the above, we are found liable for any reason, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims shall not exceed one hundred US dollars (US $100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the smallest extent permitted by law.

    External Links

The Site contains links to third-party websites and services — including veterinary clinics, retailers, manufacturers, insurance providers, Google Maps, analytics tools, and affiliate partners such as Amazon Associates and Chewy.

We provide these links for your convenience. We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for the content, accuracy, practices, products, or services of any third-party site. Visiting a linked site is at your own risk and subject to that site’s terms and privacy policy.

Some links are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you purchase through them at no extra cost to you. See our Affiliate Disclosure for details.

    User Submissions

If you submit content to us — for example through the contact form, newsletter signup, or future user accounts — you grant PetHelpAnswers a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and process that content for the purpose of operating and improving the Site and responding to you. Please do not submit anything confidential or sensitive.

    Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to all or part of the Site at any time, for any reason, with or without notice, including if we believe you have violated these Terms.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including Intellectual Property Rights, Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law — will continue to apply after your access ends.

    Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless PetHelpAnswers and its team from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right.

    Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.

You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Site shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

    Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Site or by email where appropriate.

Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Site.

    Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
